Frequently Asked Questions
Who are TAMAP guides for?
For anyone who wants to plan their own trip without spending dozens of hours searching for the right information. Whether you travel solo, as a couple, with friends or as a family, our guides give you a complete, practical foundation for traveling independently.
Have TAMAP itineraries actually been tested?
Yes.The itineraries are based on trips we have actually taken. Stops, routes, travel times, visits, good ideas and mistakes to avoid: we share what we learned on the ground to make your trip easier.
Do I have to follow the itinerary exactly?
No. You can follow it from start to finish, everything is designed for that, but you can also adapt it to your interests, pace or the length of your trip. TAMAP gives you an organized and tested framework, usually designed for trips of 10 to 30 days depending on the guide.
You can then decide how much you want to personalize it: add places using our “Places Left Out” section, extend a stop to spend more time there, or shorten another one to make the most of the time you have.
We also include buffer days, intentionally designed to be lighter. They can give you time to slow down during the trip, but they also make it easier to adjust the itinerary if you have fewer days available. These days usually include secondary sights or a lighter schedule, so you can keep, shorten or remove them without disrupting the rest of the trip.
I’ve never planned a trip myself. Is TAMAP right for me?
Yes, and that’s one of TAMAP’s main goals. Our guides are designed to make independent travel accessible, even if you don’t know where to start. Stops, transportation, travel times, budgets and practical information are all brought together so you can plan your trip easily without having to research everything yourself.
What exactly will I find in a guide?
Day-by-day itineraries, places to discover, transportation options, price guidance, practical tips, first-hand experience, photos and plenty of information gathered throughout the journey. The goal: to bring together in one place everything you actually need to go.
Are the prices and information up to date?
We do our best to provide reliable, up-to-date information. However, prices, schedules, regulations and transport connections may change after our visit. We therefore provide this information as a reference and recommend checking anything that may have changed before departure.
